The Director's CutThe Original

Miss Pergrine's Home for Peculiar Children by author Ranson Riggs. [Director's Cut]
Book Trailer also created by Ranson Riggs
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. And a strange collection of very curious photographs.
It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience
---
Ranson Riggs studied film at the University of Southern California and has been creating movies for awhile. He has made successful book trailers for others and now was able to use his considerable
expertise for his own novel. I read this book in two sittings. This is one you can't put down, you immediately get pulled into Jacob's terrifying and strange journey. The creepy pictures, their backstory , the mystery and the likeable protagonist Jacob fit perfectly together.
----
My suprise with this novel is the setting begins close to my own Florida backyard and Riggs accurately depicted life for a bored teenage boy in a sleepy Florida town.
The trailer feels like it was cut from a feature film, but first came the book and then he shot the book trailer on location in Wales.
Find out about how the trailer was created by watching the making of Miss Perdgrine's Peculiar Children.
